Placing Holds for New Titles

For a few years now, we’ve had a binder of all the new titles the library had on order at the front desk. We’ve made a change which will help save paper and staff time and will also increase patron privacy.

Now, once books are ordered, you’ll be able to place a hold on them right from your computer! Just log into your patron account with your library card number and password (which is most likely your last name unless you’ve reset it). You can also call or stop by the library and we can place the hold for you.

We know many of you enjoyed browsing the binder, so we’d like to encourage you to grab a copy of Book Pages to browse next time you’re in the library. These can be found on the front desk. We’ll also be highlighting popular titles here on the website so you don’t miss things like the new Jodi Picoult or Louise Penny books due out later this year. Once we highlight them here, you’ll be able to start placing holds on them!

Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions as we make this transition.

And keep an eye out for those Jodi Picoult and Louise Penny highlights coming soon!

Once Card Game at the Library

Join us Thursdays in September (except for the 13th) at 5pm to learn and play a fun, rummy style card game called Once. You can find the rules here if you’d like to read them: https://www.outdoor-camping-guide.com/once-card-game.html

All events are free and open to the public.

very grateful for your help!
Book sorting and book donation drop off takes place every Wednesday, 9-10
