Some even have books for grownups! Check one out next time you’re in and let Justine know if there’s a topic or theme you’d like to see!

The Walpole Library is starting a book club for kids in grades 3, 4 & 5. The first meeting will be Thursday August 25th at 3:45 pm. We’ll talk about our favorite books and plans for the club. There will be copies of the first book, Maze of Bones by Rick Riordan, available for check out. We’ll meet again on September 8th at 3:45 to talk about the first book and play a game or two! We hope you can join us!

Are you a Louise Penny fan? Her newest book, A Great Reckoning, comes out on August 30th and there are already 9 people on the waiting list! Stop by the library and add your name to the list to ensure you get a copy as quickly as possible.
Good news: Justine ordered two books and one audio book, so we’re sure everyone will be able to get their hands on it pretty quickly!
Do you have books you’d like to donate to the Friends of the Library Book Sale? Or maybe you have some free time on Wednesday mornings or Thursday afternoons to help sort the books? The Friends of the Library are always looking for extra hands!
Book donations can be brought to the former RN Johnson’s bays 14 & 15 Wednesday mornings from 9am to 10am or Thursday afternoons from 3pm to 4pm. This is also when the Friends sort the books, and they’d love some extra help!
Do these times not work for you? Give us a call at the library and we’d be happy to get you in touch with one of the Friends members to set up another drop off time!

Have you heard? Our Cookbook Challenge Group is meeting August 30th at 6:30pm for dinner at the library! Stop by to pick up a copy of this month’s cookbook: Happy Days with the Naked Chef by Jamie Oliver. Sign up to make a dish and join us on the 30th for dinner! Be sure to bring the dish you prepared as well as your own place setting (plate, silverware, beverage, napkin, etc.). It’ll be fun and delicious!
