Summer Reading Challenge 2022 For Kids, Teens and Adults

Our 2022 Summer Reading Program will run from June 18 through July 30. This year’s theme is Oceans of Possibilities and we have a fun-packed schedule for kids and adults!

    Reading Challenge:

    Come into the library to pick up your bookmark reading tracker. Teens and adults earn raffle tickets towards prizes. Click HERE to see raffle prizes! Kids earn Brag Tags. Earn an extra raffle ticket/Brag Tag for completing your Bingo card.

    Special Events:

    Wild Encounters, Tiny Creatures. Tuesday, June 21, 1 pm at the Walpole Town Hall.

    Getting Started with Beekeeping with Ross Conrad. Saturday, June 18, 11 am at the Main Library.

    Geocaching. June 18 through July 30. Click HERE for all the details. check this link!

    Summer Crafternoon for Adults. Friday, July 8, 1:30 pm at the Main Library. All supplies provided. Bring a friend or come meet new friends.

    Teddy Bear Parade. Saturday, July 9, 11 am, Distant Hill Nature Trail. Bring your favorite stuffie. We’ll have wagons (or bring your own) and decorations. We’ll decorate, have a story, and then parade along the trail.

    Ice Cream Social. Saturday, July 30, noon to 1 pm at the Main Library.

    Fun for Kids & Families:

    Summer Unplugged with The Grafton Nature Museum. Thursdays, June 26 through August 4, 12:45 pm. Outside behind the library if the weather is nice, inside if not. See schedule below:

    Read with Toby The Dog. Fridays, June 26 through July 29 from 3-4 pm. 15 minute appointments are required. Call the library at 603.756.9806 or email Julie at jrios@walpoletownlibrary.org to schedule.

    Drop-In Coding for Kids grades 2-5. June 21 through July 27, 3:30-4:30 pm. Tuesdays at the North Walpole Branch and Wednesdays at the Main Library. Come work on a project, practice your coding skills or play scratch games. Computers are limited so this program is on a first come, first serve basis.

    Wiggle Time. Mondays at 10 am. Outside behind the Main Library or inside if bad weather. Come wiggle, sings songs and play with bubbles!

    Story Times. Wednesdays at 10 am AND 5:30 pm. Outside behind the Main Library or inside if bad weather.
